MARNE Release Version Changelog

01/02/2024 - 1.1.18 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Changes:

  • Settings for the console will now be parsed from ServerSetting.txt

12/22/2024 - 1.1.17 - MY FAVORITE MOD

Changes:

  • Add a server to your favorites. It'll be on top in the server browser
  • Scaling should work now. Make sure your display is big enough to handle the scaling though
  • Downloading updated files from GITHUB now
  • Added option MARNE.RandomizeTeams to randomize teams on the next round

12/18/2024 - 1.1.16 - ONLINE SERVER BROWSER SOON?!

Changes:

  • Added a custom protocol handler (marne://). More information soon!

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug in the settings parser
  • Restarting the round is working in session mode now (client server)

12/14/2024 - 1.1.15 - GIBZ SETTINGS PLZ!

  • Removed the ugly Win32 title bar
  • Added a little rounding to buttons and other UI elements (felt cute, might delete later)
  • Crash dumps will now be stored in the MARNE directory

Bug Fixes:

  • Sometimes the console would not show for some users
  • Fixed a bug that could crash the server on map change
  • Not really a bug fix, but disabled the blurring shader for VMs (might lead to problems otherwise)

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a lot of bugs regarding the usernames and stats

11/28/2024 - 1.1.11 - ALL I SEE IS #1

Changes:

  • Switched the Graphics API from DX9 to DX11 (for the launcher)
  • Enhanced the blurring of background images for the server browser

Bug Fixes:

  • There was a bug causing players to not be able to play modded games
  • Some players reported that their PC name was still shown instead of their player names
  • Some work on the backend was done that should fix progression not being saved after EAAC update

11/25/2024 - Version 1.1.10 - EAAC DOESN'T BOTHER ME!

Changes:

  • You will still use your EA player name when joining in offline mode
  • The game will start in offline mode (no more kicks from servers)
  • You can see who hosts a server now.
  • The current and upcoming map are shown in server details window now.

Bug Fixes:

  • Teams are switched on round end now.
  • Specifying number of rounds in MapList.txt had no effect.

Changes:

  • Added tooltips to the icon buttons that have no text.

  • A bug preventing some users from using LAN mode is fixed now.

10/01/2024 - Version 1.0.7 - SHOW ME THEM FILES!

Changes:

  • Added a button to the launcher that will take you to the files stored by MARNE Launcher.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where you could not leave a game when the server was password protected.
  • LanMode servers will now show up in server browser again.

09/18/2024 - Version 1.0.6 - MOAR MEMORY!

09/12/2024 - Version 1.0.4 - Locked out!

  • Server passwords work (again).

09/11/2024 - Version 1.0.3 - Bots when?

Changes:

  • Added bot count to server browser.
  • Server will now save `MapList.txt` when changed via RCON.

09/10/2024 - Version 1.0.2 - VC++

Changes:

  • MARNE Launcher will check for the presence of VC++ Redist on startup.

09/09/2024 - Version 1.0.1 - What's crashing?

09/07/2024 - Version 1.0.0 - Hello World

MARNE is finally leaving the public beta phase and is now officially released!

Changes:

  • Merged the dedicated server and client file.
  • The kill log will show the teams now.
  • Updated some visuals in the launcher.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where it would take a long time to return to the frontend.
  • The game won't eat your RAM anymore.
  • Non-ASCII characters would crash the server on round end.
  • Many other minor fixes.
